It seems like just last week the New York Giants were hoisting up the Lombardi trophy as they won their second Super Bowl title in five years. Well, training camp starts in two days and we have a fresh new season set to begin. The Giants, of course, will open up the season on Wednesday, September 5th, at home against rival Dallas Cowboys. The Giants look to pick up right where they left off. What will be the key factor? In my opinion, it will be Victor Cruz on offense. Last year, nobody was ready for the emergence of a young superstar when Cruz first started in the league. He was on nobody's radar as someone to look out for, however, he prove that he could hold his own right next to Hakeem Nicks. The two became one of the best tag-team duos in all of football. Now, in his second year, teams are expecting a lot out of him and know that they need to cover him. However, what if he does not produce as well as he did last year? Can the Giants survive? It would definitely be hard since Nicks is coming off an injury and all other receiver options do not have much experience in the game. However, hopefully the addition of speedy running back David Wilson can take some of the pressure off the passing game. If the Giants get their running game going, they could be quite the unstoppable team and they need because once again they have an awfully terrible schedule. So the Patriots get the second easiest schedule and the Giants get the second hardest schedule? Hmmm....
