It is a Super Bowl rematch, however no one seems quite as excited as it is only the last game of the preseason. This is really just a time for coaches to decide on who will make the final roster cut and who will be put on the practice squad. Eli Manning will probably not do much as he preps for next week's season opener against Dallas, but one starter who hopefully will put on a show tomorrow? Hakeem Nicks. Nicks has yet to play in a preseason game after breaking his foot in training camp. Coach Coughlin has yet to decide if he will play or not. “It looks pretty good,” Nicks said after Monday’s practice at the Timex Performance Center. “I’m supposed to be able to take some live snaps this week. That’s what coach told me yesterday when I asked him. Doctor said the same thing. So that’s what we look forward to doing.” It would be great for the Giants to get him back and ready for the season. The Giants have plenty of options at wide receiver, but Nicks is the most experienced and him and Cruz together have proven that they are quite the team. Another week and another week that cornerback is the most important spot to be watched. Of course David Wilson, who has recently become a fan favorite, will see lots of playing time. It seems like the Giants will start the year with Bradshaw, Wilson, Ware, and Da'Rel Scott after his impressive blocked punt that resulted in a touchdown.
